REFUND POLICY

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all fees and charges for subscriptions, virtual items, virtual currency, and other purchases are final and non-refundable. Please review all purchases carefully before completing your transaction.

WHY WE DON'T OFFER REFUNDS

The Body Broker is a digital service that provides immediate access to:

  • AI-powered gameplay experiences personalized to you
  • Virtual items and currency with intrinsic value within the game economy
  • Access to persistent world states and saved progress
  • Community features and marketplace participation

Once you access these digital services, the value has been delivered. Unlike physical goods, digital content cannot be "returned" in a meaningful way. We invest significant resources in creating personalized AI experiences from the moment you start playing.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Subscriptions

  • No refunds for subscription fees, whether monthly or weekly
  • No prorated refunds for unused subscription time
  • No refunds for early cancellation - you retain access until period ends
  • No refunds for account termination due to Terms violations

Virtual Items & Currency

  • No refunds for virtual currency purchases
  • No refunds for virtual items or marketplace purchases
  • No refunds for items lost through gameplay, trades, or user error
  • No exchanges for different items after purchase

Marketplace Transactions

  • All confirmed transactions are final between users
  • Marketplace fees are non-refundable
  • Disputes between users are resolved per our marketplace dispute policy
  • We do not guarantee marketplace transaction outcomes

CANCELLATION (NOT REFUND)

You CAN cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future billing but does not provide a refund for the current period.

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Log in to your account at thebodybroker.com
  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm your cancellation

You will retain access to subscription features until the end of your current billing period. Your account, progress, and virtual items will be preserved in case you choose to resubscribe in the future.

REGIONAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

While our policy is no refunds, certain jurisdictions have mandatory consumer protection laws that may require refunds in specific circumstances. This policy does not override your statutory rights.

European Union / United Kingdom

Under the Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. HOWEVER, by consenting to immediate access and performance at the point of purchase, you waive this right once you begin accessing digital content. You will be asked to provide this consent separately at checkout.

Australia

Australian Consumer Law provides consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. If services fail to meet consumer guarantees (e.g., major failure to provide the service), you may be entitled to remedies including refunds. This policy does not limit those statutory rights.

United States

State consumer protection laws vary. We will comply with any mandatory refund requirements under applicable state law. However, in the absence of such requirements, our no-refund policy applies in full.

LIMITED EXCEPTIONS

We may, at our sole discretion and without obligation, consider exceptions in the following circumstances:

  • Unauthorized charges: If your payment method was used without authorization due to our security breach
  • Service unavailability: Extended outages (72+ consecutive hours) caused by our systems may be eligible for account credit at our discretion
  • Duplicate charges: Technical errors resulting in duplicate billing
  • Statutory requirements: Where refunds are required by applicable law

Note: Dissatisfaction with game content, features, changes, or gameplay experience is NOT grounds for a refund.

CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTES

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us FIRST at support@thebodybroker.com before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider.

WARNING: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us is a material breach of our Terms of Service. This may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all virtual items and currency, and banning of associated payment methods. You may also be liable for administrative costs.

We track all chargebacks. Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to credit bureaus and may result in legal action.

THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM PURCHASES

Steam

If you purchased through Steam, refunds are governed by Steam's refund policy. Visit Steam Support for refund requests.

Other Platforms

Purchases made through other platforms (console stores, etc.) are subject to those platforms' respective refund policies. Contact the platform directly for refund inquiries.

Please include your account email, transaction ID(s), and a clear explanation of your situation. We will respond within 3-5 business days.

  • Account Preservation: Your progress is saved if you cancel
  • Chargebacks: Contact us first - unauthorized chargebacks result in account termination
